going at it alone
So you run your own design business (or have plans to)! It's great being your own boss, right?! There's just one problem... you're your own boss. There's no creative director to seek feedback from before sending proofs to clients, you don't have anyone keeping you accountable, brainstorming is a solo act, and all decisions fall on you.
You're wearing #allthehats and are juggling between marketer, designer, salesman, customer service rep, project manager, owner... whoa, that's a lot to handle for just one person!
The Elevate & Cultivate community was built to help designers find support, friendships and accountability. We also help designers grow and flourish; Every designer has their own strengths and skills to contribute. By helping others, we
can have an impact in their lives, while becoming the go-to experts in our field.
It’s a win, win.
Nothing combats fear or intimidation like bravery and empathy, so reach out to your competition, ask for a chat – it could change your life! Also, pay attention to when inspiration hits you like a truck, it could be your next big thing. And finally, keep a list of competitors, not to watch, but to reach out to – invite them to be your friends and join our community.
